Kit:
Tamiya 1/48 British Universal Carrier Mk.II Item 32516

Construction:
I have to say Tamiya's new 1/48 armour range are great, I've never really been into building armour kit before but I have found it to be a welcome change to aircraft. Every now and again I pull out a armour kit that I've ordered off Calum and get building. I found this to be quite a simple build with little or no fuss with the assembly.

Painting and Decals:
I painted the kit in Model Master Medium green I then airbrushed the kit in gloss clear ready for the application of the decals. This Universal Carrier was built to represent 2ndBttn.,Kings Shropshire Light Infantry, 185th Infantry., 3rd Infantry Div. N.W. Europe. With the decals in place I covered the kit in a another coat of gloss clear followed up with a coat matt clear. I then used Tamiya weathering set A,B & C to dirty up the kit. I then sealed the weathering set in with a coat of matt clear.

Thanks:
