Sometimes
you have those large photoetched parts which are not so easy to fix to your
model, because the cyanoacrylate will dry too fast. What
will you do? Frustrate yourself or make it yourself easy? Of course you can also use a slow drying cyanoacrylate, but....... An
easier way to glue the part. First of all, cut the part you need with a sharp X-acto knife. Take a thin (very thin) piece of plasticard. 0.3mm for example. Spread the very thin cyanoacrylate glue equally on the piece of plasticard, and immediately fix the photoetch on the card. Carefully cut the superfluity of plasticard away with a sharp X-axto knife. Now
you have more time to glue your photoetched part into your model with a normal
plastic
cement, and you might have some more time to put it in a good position. If the plasticard you use is too thi ck, it will be no problem. You can thin it down as much as you need. Take care that there will be enough plastic on the photoetched part for using the normal plastic cement.Henk Koppelaar
