Removing decals from a model

Try brushing on some decal solvent, letting it sit for a few minutes, then burnish some real tacky masking tape over it. Then just peel away. It may take a few tries, but will not ruin paint. Be careful to apply the tape only to the decal and not the surrounding paint to avoid possibly lifting the paint.
