I've arrived at my
destination......the Philippine island of Boracay. This place
is your classic south pacific tropical tourist destination....but
with all the wonders of the Filipino culture....friendly people,
amazing service and the tasty Filipino food. If you're ever
heard of Puka Shell necklaces.....on the north end of this island is
a place called Puka Beach and that is where the puka shell necklaces
originated from.. I plan to spend 1 week here before
heading home.
As for product articles.....I
might not be doing many of those this week as all the products are
back home, but I will do model gallery articles this week.

Michael
"madmike" Johnson is here with a peice of armour I've
never seen before. This is his 1/144 Dragon Maus - German super heavy tank
which is a tank that never saw operational service, although it
looks like it might have been quite successful. Mike went with
a hwat if canmo scheme befitting the tank and it's possible use in
the 1945/46 time frame. This is a great looking model and the
1/144 scale has me intrigued.

has started my day off right with his 1/35 Trumpeter Stryker Reconn Vehicle.
Robert got everything looking perfect on his Stryker including
all the detail such as MRE's and cases of Coke and Pepsi. And
the painting and weathering is fantastic.

Greg Kerry
has created a wonderful scene with his 1/35 Italeri Daimler Blitz, Tamiya DKW350 & Germans At Rest.
Greg combined a few different model and figure sets to pull this
scene together and I must say I enjoyed the addition of the
motorcycle and the open engine hood on the truck. There are so
many little things to came together to make this the exception scene
it is. BTW....the wheel spokes on the motorbike are done with
wire.

1/25 Tamiya PzKpfw VI Sdkfz 181 Ausf E Tiger 1
painted up in a great looking camo scheme from France in 1944.
I love the look of this Tiger 1.

Mark Andrews has
done an amazing job on his 1/35 Tamiya M113 ACAV. This
kit comes loaded with tiny detail items such as pop cans and cigarette
packs and Mark made full use of these items to detail his ARC before
giving it a skillful weathering job. |

Konley Kelley
starts today with his very colourful 1/35 Academy M3 Stuart 'Honey'.
Konley added extra details to the interior and exterior of his
M3 Stuart and finished it all off with a very careful application of
weathering and a desert diorama base. There's even a map in
the interior.....you've got to love that sort of attention to
detail. Beautiful job Konley.
